So many times before I have heard people say that Love is a beautiful thing, and I agree. The only thing they don’t tell you about it is that it’s a full-time job and if you don’t put in the work, you are disposed of quickly, I guess here, we might say that you have been dumped. My quest for love started way before I knew how to say the word itself.

I like that you like the fact that you know I like you. It’s one of those things you don’t expect, you know like the weather in Nairobi, or clear roads on a week day (I’m sorry on behalf of Nairobi if you’re reading this in traffic). Or your crush liking you back. Which even when it happens you still find it hard to wrap your head around. Like that ka risky text wasn’t enough to drive you nuts, or for the brave ones who just say it face to face (The real OGs). That moment when you convince yourself that the worst she can do is say “no”. Yes that is really the worst she can do. But just to your surprise it turns out to be a Sunday evening and the roads are clear and she admits to liking you back.
