OPENING UP

Overview
A cold breeze is the same thing as heaven for a man that has been in
hell for a while. You were never really my paradise. This isn’t really a
piece of poetry; I just want to share.Welcome to OPENING UP.
To the person who left me hanging;
I hope you can still remember,
The smile that you used to draw on my lips,
With all the metaphors you've uttered,
That flattered my fragile heart that's too in love with you,
And I hope you can still see that vision we used to daydream each day
we've talked about the future we wanted to live in, with each other,
In a simple home we can call our own.
Do you still remember how strong we were?
When we promised that other's judgements are not ours to defeat because what's important is that no one can break us down,
Not even temptation but look at us now –
Did you really mean every bit of the memories we shared?
Or were you just forced to try and see if that would work?
Was I just a part of your experiment?
A specimen, that you could do your research as you are in the process of finding what really is love and who you will really love?
I still don't get it, we were so happy the day before and after that, we changed, no, you changed —
You left me hanging.
You shattered my heart.
You broke me into uncountable pieces and turned me into dead stars, the difference is that,
I can't shine anymore.
