home sick

Overview
My dating life is a sequence,
Knotted in a blue rope
I have been in many ships,
The name of my home encrypted in their banners,
I have boarded and alighted
My dating life is a sequence,
Knotted in a blue rope
I have been in many ships,
The name of my home encrypted in their banners,
I have boarded and alighted,
Anchored in unlikely shores
In turbulence and in calm,
We vowed and promised,
Took oaths and exchanged words,
The first one said, I will never leave you,
The next morning I saw her in his arms,
I will hold your hand in the stormy nights,
A month later, she went for a venous arm
The third looked me in the eyes,
I thought she was the one,
Promise me nothing, sweetheart, I said,
She offered her breast and comforted.
Green was her color.
I sought love for the wrong reasons,
I found love in the wrong places
And they fed on me to their fill
And on they went, from one ship to another.
I can see the lighthouse.
Like Odysseus I long to be home.
