Beautifully Cold

Overview
Remember those days when we could take long walks, talking about girls, politics and football?
Every day I remember these things and I miss you. Every time I am alone, I wish that you could
were there to hold my hand. If I was given a chance to bring someone back, then it would be
you.
I miss you so much,
The monsters sucked life out of your eyes,
Your hands trembled,
I stood there like a clown,
I saw light hover around us,
Like fire tongues it licked your face,
Your face turned grey, your hands grew limp,
I heard a door open, and you left.
Tears flowed, but you ignored them,
I called out your name, you didn’t turn,
Beautifully cold I held you in my arms,
The mountain top are peaceful, someone said.
I wish you peace and safe travels,
Sadly a one man’s journey is a sad journey.
This world gave us roses and thorns,
The owners of the soils are old friends,
They exchange our souls for gifts.
We are pawns drawn until the game is over.
The mountains are peaceful.
If wishes were true,
I would ask the Infinites to give you back.
If wishes were true,
I would gather the mustard faith,
And bring you back.
If wishes were true,
I would name a child after you,
And see you in someone else.
In my heart you will always be.
